Driven by the dual engines of TradeTech and BrandTech: Interview with the Founder of Chuangyi (Suzhou) Culture Trading Co., Ltd.

2025-08-12

Introduction

"The original intention behind founding Chuangyi was simple: to ensure sustainable benefits for all stakeholders in the supply chain, foster mutual growth between employees and the company, create products with genuine brand value, and deliver unique product value to global consumers." — Founder

Interview dialogue

Question 1: With a dual master’s degree from a prestigious overseas university and work experience in a leading central state-owned enterprise, why did you choose to start a business in Suzhou?

**Founder:** I have always believed that industries must be grounded in the practical realities of supply, demand, and engineering. Suzhou boasts a complete and highly efficient manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem, along with an international outlook and a diverse talent pool, making it the ideal starting point to connect design-driven Chinese manufacturing with global markets. My academic training has equipped me with systematic thinking and cutting-edge methodologies, while my experience in a state-owned enterprise has given me a deep understanding of compliance, risk management, and complex coordination. By launching my venture here, I can combine these two skill sets to pursue a long-term, principled goal in a rational and efficient manner: creating lasting value for upstream and downstream stakeholders while fostering exponential growth for the team and the brand.

Question 2: How does InnoEcho specifically operate its dual-drive model of "TradeTech + BrandTech"?

The founder: "TradeTech is our trading and supply chain technology stack, and BrandTech is our brand and consumer insights technology stack. The two are not parallel but rather interlocking flywheels."

● On the front end, TradeTech leverages data-driven product selection and demand forecasting, standardizes processes for inquiries, quotes, sampling, compliance, and delivery, enhancing cross-category transaction efficiency and certainty.

● In the mid-end segment, we employ engineering methodologies for BOM breakdown, material and process reviews, reliability testing, and quality tracking to build reusable midstream solutions.

● On the backend, BrandTech translates engineering reliability into brand value and premium capability through user research, experience design, and content asset accumulation.

This two-wheel model enables us to create a closed loop of "trade services + midstream solutions + brand creation," allowing both rapid market response and the accumulation of long-term brand momentum.

Question 3: You emphasized ensuring long-term benefits for both upstream and downstream supply chains. How does the company achieve this? And how is employee growth safeguarded?

**Founder:** Based on the principle of "shared growth and mutual success," we design partnerships through transparent profit-sharing and a long-term approach. Here are three specific practices:

● Transparent pricing and shared risks: Visualize compliance, quality control, logistics, and capital costs item by item, share demand forecasts and capacity planning with suppliers to reduce negotiation and minimize volatility.

● Engineering value-add: Through material substitution, process optimization, yield improvement, and standardized component libraries, we help suppliers achieve continuous improvement. Profits stem from efficiency and reliability, not short-term price reductions.

● Dual Drivers of Orders and Brands: Trade orders provide cash flow, while brand growth offers premium potential, enabling industry chain partners to share in brand earnings and fostering stable collaborative expectations.

For our employees, we adhere to the principle of "people first":

● Clear career paths and competency models, with performance and capability returns compounded.

● Automation-first digital tools unleash human creativity.

● Rotations and project-based assignments across globalization and diverse categories to broaden horizons.

● Maintain long-term commitment and transparency in profit distribution, training, and career development.

Question 4: In a highly competitive market, how does Chuangyi establish unique brand value?

**Founder:** Our answer is "Humanities × Technology." A brand is not a slogan, but the ability to consistently deliver user value. We build our brand moat along three dimensions:

● Dual metrics of function and experience: considering both engineering reliability indicators (durability, stability, compliance) and user experience metrics (tactility, aesthetics, scenario fit).

● Data-driven design: Leveraging channel and user data to inform design and material selection, enabling rapid iteration of SKUs and versions.

● Narrative Consistency: Use professional, rational, and efficient language to clearly explain why the product is reliable and better suited for specific scenarios, thereby building brand equity over time.

We consistently introduce product portfolios that combine aesthetic and technological values across various sectors, including functional textiles, daily necessities, cultural products, and home and sports goods, allowing consumers to experience "reliable functionality + warm design."

Question 5: What are ChuangYi's plans for the next three to five years?

**Founder:** We will deepen, enrich, and thoroughly execute the "multi-track platform" and "dual-wheel drive" strategy.

● Develop a more comprehensive midstream solution template for functional textiles and daily necessities to enhance scalable replication capabilities.

● Create multiple self-owned brands with clear positioning, focusing on "engineering reliability + aesthetic expression."

● Continuously enhance the stack capabilities of TradeTech and BrandTech, including demand forecasting, quality tracking, full-link data mid-end, and content asset accumulation.

Establish a tighter collaborative network with industry chain partners to develop standardized advantages in compliance, sustainability, and international market localization.

Our vision is to become an industry-leading platform across multiple tracks in "trade services + solutions + brand creation," continuously creating value for global clients while ensuring stable growth and returns for partners and employees on this long-term journey.
